Police from across the Ipswich district and leaders from Muslim Groups across the Ipswich District met on Friday at the Yamanto Police complex for an informal morning tea.
Ipswich District Officer, Superintendent Brian Huxley hosted the morning tea with the senior leaders from the Muslim community and senior officers from across the district
Superintendent Huxley highlighted at the morning tea that it was crucial for police to build positive relationships with all members of the community if they are to be effective in delivering their core responsibility of community safety.
Superintendent Huxley, along with police across the district look forward to continuing to build stronger community relationships and ensuring that police and community leaders maintain open and honest dialogue. Police will continue to respond appropriately to calls for service and address issues raised by the community, as well as through police participation in community consultative groups, supporting community events and festivals across the
