NAIDOC day celebrations at Leichhardt State Primary School

On Wednesday August 16, the Leichhardt State Primary School celebrated their annual NAIDOC day.
The school holds a NAIDOC event every year in week six of term three.
During the celebrations there were activities, games and traditional singing.
The students and police enjoyed the day equally and were very impressed and moved by the event.
QPS officers and students were very excited to meet Leroy Loggins who was in attendance at the ceremony.
Leroy is  an ex-Australian basketball player and took part in the activities and taught the children the basics of basketball.
A great day was had by all who attended and it was a fitting celebration to recognise the Indigenous peoples of our local area.
