Stolen vehicle alert, Monday May 22

In the past, many vehicles have been taken while the victims were at home. Keys, mobile phones and cash were also stolen after thieves allegedly gained entry to homes and easily located car keys in plain view.
Police advise that residents should secure their homes and vehicles to avoid opportunistic thefts. Hiding car keys and valuables will make it difficult for offenders to steal your vehicle and other property.
Ask yourself, “Where are my car keys?”
If you can secure your car in a garage or park your vehicle inside of your yard rather than on the street, this will also assist in the prevention of number plates being stolen.

Dogs on Patrol at Ipswich Million Paws Walk – Pawfect!

Yesterday was a pawfect day for the RSPCA Million Paws walk in Limestone Park… it certainly was all dogs great and small.
Million Paws Walk is a great day for all of us with two or four legs to get out and active whilst raising funds and awareness for animal support across Queensland.
The Ipswich District Crime Prevention Unit joined in on this year’s Ipswich Million Paws Walk with a Dogs on Patrol promotion.
Myself with Naomi from Green Cross Vet Silkstone and her dog Rhino (cause he is huge!)
For more information on personal safety strategies for when you and your four legged friend are out and about visit here or contact Ipswich District Crime Prevention Unit on 3817 1351.
