Protect your Christmas gifts this festive season
Christmas is a joyous occasion when families and friends come together wishing each other good health and prosperity, celebrating the year with food and gifts.
But what would you do if your Christmas was stolen?
These days a lot of busy people are opting to purchase their Christmas gifts online for friends and family and have them delivered to their door.
Unfortunately, thieves go shopping too and if there is an opportunity to target easy-to-access items such as packages and parcels left on front porches they will.
So this Christmas have a plan, if you are sending a Christmas gift ensure the recipient is at home to collect it, or redirected to a local post office or business address.
Remember to not leave Christmas gifts and valuable items in the back seat of your car where it can be seen by thieves, remove them from view. This is an opportunity for them to shop directly

Police advise that residents should secure their homes and vehicles to avoid opportunistic thefts.
In the past, many vehicles have been taken while the victims were at home.
Keys, mobile phones and cash were also stolen after thieves allegedly gained entry to homes and easily located car keys in plain view.
Hiding car keys and valuables will make it difficult for offenders to steal your vehicle and other property.
Ask yourself “Where are your keys”.
