Would you like to meet your local Ipswich emergency services?
If you answered yes, then visit the Fernvale Markets on the morning of Sunday, December 10 for your chance to meet Ipswich police and firefighters.
Queensland Police Service (QPS) Ipswich District Crime Prevention and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) officers will be on hand to share with you some very important road rules ready for the Christmas holidays.
Each year QPS, QFES, Department of Main Roads and Transport and Ipswich PCYC provide a demonstration, narrated by the police, of an emergency services response to a fatal incident.
The event is a reminder to the Ipswich community to be road safe at all times, especially coming into the silly season of Christmas and New Year.
The Fatal Five will be highlighted: fatigue, seatbelts, speeding, drink/drug driving and distraction as they are significant factors when it comes to road incidents and accidents, sometimes fatal.
This event will bring attention to those factors by seeing first hand
