Residents should secure their homes and vehicles to avoid opportunistic thefts.
In the past, many vehicles have been taken while the victims were at home.
Keys, mobile phones and cash were also stolen after thieves allegedly gained entry to homes and easily located car keys in plain view.
Hiding car keys and valuables will make it difficult for offenders to steal your vehicle and other property.
Ask yourself: Where are your keys?

All Council sporting fields closed

As you are aware the weather has left fields significantly water logged with more rain forecast for tonight and over the weekend. Council has assessed the current condition of the sporting grounds and would like to advise that all sporting fields are closed for use tonight, Friday 23 February.For those user groups with activities planned on Saturday and Sunday we would appreciate it if you considered the amount rainfall that the sporting ovals are experiencing and inspect the ovals prior to usage to determine whether it is safe to use them.   Please keep in mind that the use of sporting ovals when particularly wet can cause a great deal of damage to the surface and refrain from using the ovals if you feel that your activities may damage the ovals and affect the longevity of the ovals for your proposed seasonal usage.
