On Friday, October 27 Ipswich District Day for Daniel Committee are organising a ‘Day for Daniel’ community walk starting from d’Arcy Doyle place at 9.00am.
There will be a sausage sizzle breakfast; $2 for sausage/bread and $1 for drinks prior to the walk as well as a welcome from the Mayor and councillors, committee members, Queensland Police Service Ipswich District Crime Prevention, and Ipswich Community Youth Service supported by Ipswich City Council and Act for Kids – Walk Tall Program.
The parade will be lead by the Road Policing Unit and Mounted Police.
There will be Daniel Morcombe merchandise that can be purchased on the day, with all proceeds going to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
Daniel’s legacy is a reminder to everyone to protect children from harm by educating them of their early warning signs – when their body tells them they don’t feel safe, to then tell someone.
