Karana Downs Police visit Mount Crosby Playgroup

Karana Downs Police visited the Mount Crosby Playgroup this morning at the Mount Crosby Community Hall.
The children aged from zero to five years were given an Introduction to Police talk. The talk included how to recognise a police officer not only by uniform or police car but by official police identification of badge and ID card.

The children were spoken to about keeping themselves safe including recognising signs when they feel unsafe and developing a ‘Safety Network’ of trusted adults they can speak to.
The issue of social media and community groups was discussed with the parents and caregivers. Recently local community group social media pages have had posts concerning suspicious people and vehicles in the Karana Downs division.
