Stand up against domestic and family violence in May

Domestic and family violence prevention month is an annual event held in May to raise awareness of the impacts of domestic and family violence on family and friends, the social implications, the ripple affect it has on children and provide support systems and services that can assist families.
If you or someone you know is living with domestic and family violence help is available. Ipswich Police encourage the Ipswich community to seek support and assistance and report any matters that occur. Remember, if the matter is an emergency dial Triple Zero (000).
By promoting a clear message that violence is not tolerated in any community, we need to stand firm and stop domestic and family violence so that our children grow up in safe, loving, and peaceful families. We all have a right to feel safe all of the time.
