Police have charged a 17-year-old following a series of alleged incidents that occurred in the Ipswich area overnight.
A 4WD allegedly evaded police yesterday afternoon at just before 6pm in Redbank Plains and was then sighted by officers in bushland at Ripley around 7.20pm.
Police have a tyre deflation device and the 4WD then allegedly drove on Ripley Road towards the Cunningham Highway on ramp.
The 4WD then lost control before allegedly reversing towards a police vehicle.
The officer had to take evasive action to avoid being hit, and the 4WD then slipped down an embankment.
A boy and a man were taken into custody without further incident.
A 17-year-old Redbank Plains man has been given a notice to appear for two counts of evade police and one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
