Police are urging residents to ensure they are securing their homes and vehicles to avoid opportunistic thefts.
Many vehicles are taken while the victims are at home. Thefts are targeting keys, mobile phones and cash that are left in plain view within homes and vehicles.
Hiding car keys and valuables will make it difficult for offenders to steal your vehicle and other property.
If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.
You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
