Unlawful use of motor vehicle, Munbilla (Ipswich)

A man has been injured after attempting to pursue his vehicle which was stolen from his property at Munbilla this morning.
At around 4.20am unknown people attended the Munbilla Road property in a Mazda ute stolen yesterday from North Maclean.
The residents, a man and woman, woke up to see their Toyota Landcruiser utility being driven away from their shed.
The man then attempted to pursue his stolen car in another vehicle when the offenders have rammed his car off the road, through a fence and into a paddock.
The victim jumped out of his car and attempted to take the keys from the ignition of the stolen Mazda ute however the driver punched him repeatedly in the face and then reversed the vehicle, dragging the man along.
The 44-year-old man sustained numerous non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Ipswich Hospital.

Robberies with violence, Ipswich

Ipswich police are investigating two violent robberies of delivery drivers last night which are believed to be linked.
Around 8pm an 18-year-old female pizza delivery driver was taking an order to an address in Mine Street, Redbank when a large white four-wheel-drive pulled up behind her vehicle.
A man exited the vehicle then opened the driver’s side door of her car and grabbed the keys from the ignition before hitting the victim twice in the face.
The woman managed to lock herself inside the vehicle while the man left and returned with another man who started striking the car window with a metal bar.
One man then used the stolen keys to unlock the vehicle and a struggle took place between the woman and the men.
The victim yelled for help and the men dropped her keys and fled the scene in the white four-wheel-drive.
The woman was treated at the scene for facial injuries.
