Unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Collingwood Park

Police were able to use a stolen ute’s tracking device to help locate it in Ipswich this morning, after it was stolen from Brisbane overnight.
The ute was allegedly stolen from a Corunna Street business in Albion sometime after midnight, after a man broke into its tool box and found a spare key inside.
Officers were able to determine the ute had been driven to a Collins Street address in Collingwood attended to execute a search warrant around 11am.
When police arrived, the vehicle allegedly drove around a tyre deflation device (commonly known as stingers) that had been pre-deployed, with the vehicle driving through the front yard of a home on Collingwood Park Drive.
It is further alleged that the ute continued to be driven dangerously towards Redbank, and following a short pursuit, police located it abandoned in Middle Park.

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Willowbank

A man has been charged after allegedly failing to stop for police on the Cunningham Highway last night.
It will be alleged around 9.30pm police attempted to intercept a vehicle travelling through Yamanto.
The car allegedly continued without stopping along the Cunningham Highway until officers successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at Purga around 9.35pm.
Police followed the vehicle at a low speed onto Coopers Road at Willowbank before it eventually came to a stop.
A 35-year-old Sadliers Crossing man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of fail to stop motor vehicle and one count of driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence.
He is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on July 24.
