On Wednesday July 26, the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums attended St Mary’s Primary School Ipswich. The Queensland Pipes and Drums performed the Kops in Kilts program for all children from Prep to Grade 6.
The children were entertained and enthralled watching and learning about the instruments used, especially the bag pipes.
The children had a lovely time and actively participated in the songs played – some children were even lucky enough to assist the band!
St Mary’s Primary School Adopt-a-Cop Constable Linette Swales was very impressed with the children’s behaviour throughout the concert.
The children and staff from St Mary’s Primary Ipswich thank the Queensland Pipes and Drums for their time.

Stolen vehicle alert, Tuesday October 15
In the past, many vehicles have been taken while the victims were at home.
Keys, mobile phones and cash were also stolen after thieves allegedly gained entry to homes and easily located car keys in plain view.
Police advise that residents should secure their homes and vehicles to avoid opportunistic thefts. Hiding car keys and valuables will make it difficult for offenders to steal your vehicle and other property.
Ask yourself: “Where are my car keys?”
If you can, secure your car in a garage or park your vehicle inside of your yard rather than on the street. This will also assist in the prevention of number plates being stolen.
