Serious traffic crash, Grandchester

A man has suffered serious injuries following a single vehicle traffic crash in Grandchester early this morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate at 2.40am, a blue 2009 Holden Commodore sedan was traveling along Rosewood-Laidley Road when it went round a sharp bend, crashed through a culvert and metal fence, and then rolled multiple times.
The 28-year-old male driver and sole occupant had to be cut from the vehicle and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious chest, head and pelvic injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Update: Suspicious house fire, West Ipswich

Police have charged a 26-year-old man following an investigation into a suspicious house fire in West Ipswich on February 9.
Emergency services were called to a Brisbane Street property around 6.45pm following reports the house was engulfed in flames.
The unoccupied house was completely destroyed as a result of the fire.
A 26-year-old Goodna man is scheduled to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today charged with arson, common assault and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
