Crude bomb 'capable of causing serious injury' found in shopping centre carpark
Police dismantle a homemade explosive device found in a car at a shopping centre west of Brisbane arresting a man and a woman at the scene after spotting them on CCTV footage.
PSPA declared, Redbank
Police have declared an emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act after a suspicious device was located in a carpark in Redbank this morning.
The PSPA was declared at 9.15am after a device was located in a vehicle.
An exclusion zone has been set up an encompassing Collingwood Drive, Law Street South, Ipswich Motorway Service Road and Redbank Plaza Service Road.
Specialist police are in attendance.
A man and a woman are currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
