Adopt-a-Cop Constable Adrian Solah recently presented two special awards at Silkstone State School.
The awards recognise students who displayed qualities of courage, fairness and pride.
Martina from Grade 6 and Hex-lka from Prep were the proud recipients of these awards.
Congratulations and well done to those students!
The older students also had an opportunity for a Q&A session about being a police officer.
Constable Solah visited some of the prep classes in the afternoon and showed them some photos of his time being a police officer, especially in outback Queensland.
He also reminded all the students to be safe on and around the roads over the holiday break, getting to and from school and how to stay safe whilst walking, riding and travelling in vehicles.
It is important to start the road safety messages from a young age.
