There are lots of ways we can make our roads safer.
Ipswich District Crime Prevention, in partnership with Department of Transport and Main Roads and Ipswich PCYC, supported by Somerset Regional and Ipswich City Councils, will be holding a Road Safety Expo as part of Road Safety Week (27-31 August).
Where: Fernvale Country Markets, Brisbane Valley Highway, Fernvale State School, Fernvale
Date: Sunday, August 26
Time: From 6am
There will be road safety demonstrations at 9am and 11am by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services showing how emergency services respond to road trauma.
These will be narrated by the QPS and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

The event will have displays from the QPS, along with the Fatal Five Vehicle and Road Policing Unit Motorcycle display.
Ipswich PCYC will be focusing on Braking the Cycle and promoting mentors for the program, and Kidsafe Association will be promoting child restraints and road safety.
