Across Queensland, Police will be out in force engaging with community to remind them of Road Safety Week (August 27-31).
Every day, road crashes devastate the lives of Queenslanders and take an enormous toll on families and our communities.
We need all Queenslanders to take a stand.
Our focus this year is ‘Speaking up for road safety – road rules refresh’, and we’re encouraging the whole community to have their say and refresh their road rules knowledge.
Refreshing your knowledge on the road rules will improve road safety for you and other road users.
Throughout the week, Ipswich Police will be highlighting different road user groups including motorists, pedestrians, bicycle riders, heavy vehicle drivers and motorcyclists, to engage with community across the Ipswich Police District.
Some of the events that will be held leading up to and during Road Safety Week are:
The Car Classic Show and Shine Crime Prevention static display
Supported by Road Policing. This will be held
