Police advise that crimes involving unlawful entry of motor vehicles have recently occurred in the Redbank Plains and Springfield Police Division.
Don’t be alarmed.
Rather, be motivated to take the following action to prevent further offences occurring or yourself becoming a victim of crime:
Always lock your vehicle, including the boot and sun roof and remember to fully close the windows;
Park your vehicle in a well-lit and highly visible area;
Lock your vehicle even when inside your garage;
Don’t leave valuables (Mobile phones, wallets, handbags, GPS devices, cash, keys etc) in your car;
Park your vehicle in your driveway or garage rather than on the street where practicable;
If you hear or see anything out of character for the time of day or night look, listen and report; and
Keep an eye out for any persons acting suspiciously, and report it to police as soon as you can.
