Ipswich police are urging the public to take precautions to ensure their personal property security and safety.
Below are some steps you can put into place to reduce the risk of having your posessions stolen:
Always remove valuables, keys, laptops, handbags and purchased items from seats, floors, benches and/or tables. Remember to lock them away out of sight;
Ensure your home and vehicle are secure;
Lock large items of value such as bikes and lawn mowers away in a garage or shed and ensure the garage or shed is locked and secure;
Keep a photographic record of any Items that you cannot engrave or label. Use a ruler in the photo for a measurement scale;
Keep a record of all serial numbers, model numbers and specific features of your personal property and keep this list and any valuation certificates in a safe place; and
