Our state’s inspiring volunteers were honoured at the 2018 Queensland Volunteer Awards at Ipswich City Hall today.
The awards were hosted by Volunteering Queensland and announced by His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Governor of Queensland.
Congratulations and thank you to each and every volunteer nominee and to all the Volunteer Award winners across all categories.
The morning’s proceedings were nothing less than inspiring. To think of the hours of dedicated service and what that would translate into a financial amount is amazing.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Volunteers in Policing for the Ipswich Police District who were nominated for the Volunteering Impact Award for their time and achievements across the Ipswich Police District.
Congratulations to the South Brisbane Volunteers in Policing and Ipswich Care who were finalists of the Volunteering Award and congratulations to The Pyjama Foundation who won that category today.
