Dogs on Patrol is a Queensland Police Service and Neighbourhood Watch Queensland initiative to remind those members of the community that are walking their dogs to think about their personal safety and also report any suspicious activity, behaviours or offences to police.
These message are delivered on the day to the community through various static displays at the event from Crime Stoppers, Neighbourhood Watch and the Ipswich District Crime Prevention Unit.
A number of doggy related displays will also be on site with dogs treats.
The next Dogs on Patrol community event will be at the Henry Lawson Bicentennial Park Walloon on Sunday April 29 from 8am to 10:30am.
Members of the community that attend with their four legged friend will receive a free engraved dog tag as well as crime prevention information.
