Ipswich District Neighbourhood Watch Lapel Badge Awards

The Ipswich District Crime Prevention Unit was proud to once again facilitate the annual Ipswich District Neighbourhood Watch Lapel Badge awards. This year there was a record number of recipients from the various Neighbourhood Watch Groups across the Ipswich District.
With 32 members and guests in attendance, the awards recognised volunteers for their service to the Neighbourhood Watch Program.
Thank you also to our guest speaker on the night Hailee from Ipswich Youth Justice Service, Department of Justice and Attorney-General.

Whilst this year there were no gold Lapel Badge recipients, there were six silver and 18 bronze Lapel Badge recipients.
The areas included Boonah, Harrisville Rural NHW Inc., Brisbane Valley, Augustine Heights, One Mile and Dinmore Ebbw Vale and Riverview Neighbhourhood Watch.
 
A special award was also presented to Ms Gailene Miller of the Riverview Neighbourhood Watch Area who was nominated by her peers and executives for the Malcom Grant Neighbourhood Watch Australasia Volunteer of
