Police are urging residents to report crime through the appropriate channels via police, rather than social media (i.e. Facebook).
Its been noted that the Ipswich community are using social media to advise about and report crime occurring in their neighbourhoods to other residents, instead of calling police or relevant authorities.
Help make our community safer and play a part in community safety by reporting any suspicious or criminal activity directly to police.
If in an emergency and a crime is happening now then call Triple Zero (000).
For non-urgent police reporting or inquiries contact Policelink on 131 444 or report online here.
You can report crime anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, 24 hours seven days a week. Tell us what you know not who you are. Crime Stoppers pass information onto the Queensland Police Service for investigation.
To anonymously report a terrorist risk or public threat call the National Security Hotline on 1800 1234 00.
