Students visit police at USQ Market Days at Ipswich and Springfield campus

Each year, the Springfield and Ipswich University of Southern Queensland (USQ) campus’ host the Pheonix Central Market Day for new and currently enrolled student. The market day provides student services and offers student the chance to gather information from service providers to assist them with student life and their learning careers at USQ.
The event also provides an opportunity for students to engage with each other in a relaxed, fun atmosphere through organised activities. This year there was a rock climbing wall, tie dyeing, giant games, and a delicious BBQ.
Ipswich District Crime Prevention attend each year to provide valuable information focusing on hot topics and old important favourites: personal safety; home; vehicle and property security; cyber safety; road safety; and recruiting.

Resources are are provided to support and remind them of preventative strategies to keep safe at all times, on and off campus.
