Fatality Free Friday hits home with the Ipswich Community

Fatality Free Friday proved to be a successful community engagment, with the Ipswich Road Safety Committee engaging with many Department Transport and Main Roads customers inviting them to find out all about road safety, especially new learner and P1 drivers sitting for their tests.  Most were a little unsure about taking the test, but once they did and passed they signed their names on the Fatality Free Friday vehicle and received a few road safety goodies.

The Fatality Free Friday a National Road Safety Campaign raises awareness around road safety encouraging drivers to consider their driving behaviour and attitude when travelling on Queensland Roads by making a commitment to themselves, friends, family and the community to drive safely.
Amongst the Ipswich Road Safety Committee, the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Transport and Compliance Inspectors visited and assisted with delivering the message to stay safe on Queensland Roads.
