On Friday night the Ipswich Community came together at a black tie gala event at the Ipswich Turf Club Bundamba to raise awareness and highlight the importance of child protection and child safety in our community.
We also recognised the efforts, programs, services and achievements individuals and organisations have accomplished over the last 12 months to enhance the safety and well-being of our community’s children.
The event was facilitated by the Ipswich Region Child Protection Week Committee which comprises of members from Queensland Police Service, Ipswich Community Youth Service (ICYS), Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women, and Somerset Regional Council to promote the safety and well-being of children.
The event received funding support from Mission Australia Communities for Children Inala to Ipswich.
