On September 4, the Ipswich and West Moreton Region Child Protection Week Symposium at Ipswich Turf Club saw 90 attendees come together from a variety of disciplines all committed to making a difference in our community for the safety and protection of children.
The event was facilitated by the Ipswich Region Child Protection Week Committee comprising of members from the Queensland Police Service, Ipswich Community Youth Service (ICYS), The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services and Somerset Council to promote the safety and wellbeing of all children.
This symposium is a perfect networking platform to share information and address relevant practice issues relating to child protection whilst also recognising the efforts, programs, services and achievements individuals and organisations have accomplished.
All attendees provided donations of care packs and personal products for the charity ‘Ipswich In Care’, which is a not for profit organisation.
