In support of Queensland Road Safety Week, Silkstone State School, guided by their Adopt a Cop Senior Constable Adrian Solar, got into the spirit of learning all about Bicycle Safety and Pedestrian Safety.
In their lunch break, Senior Constable Solah engaged with various grades, reminding students about the importance of wearing a seatbelt, and exiting and moving safely around vehicles.
Senior Constable Solah also bought along his police car for the visit.
The students enjoyed learning all about the vehicles police drive, as well as a colouring competition for the preps with one design on wearing a seatbelt and the other being getting out of vehicle safely.
Three prizes were awarded to the winning students.
Thank you Silkstone State School, for having Senior Constable Solah along to share the importance of keeping safe on the roads.
Police remind you that road safety is everyone’s business, not just during Queensland Road Safety Week, but 52 weeks a
