Road Safety Week kicks off in Coominya

Learning about RBTs early
Officers from Lowood Police Station attended Coominya State School this morning, teaching the kids about the importance of Road Safety, while having some fun.
The students and officers enjoyed chatting about what different road signage means, how it’s very important to wear helmets to protect yourself and the importance of wearing seat belts.
The students had fun learning the road rules for riding their bikes with the officers, and took home some valuable information for their parents – along with some cool key rings, torches and stickers.
When you ask your child about how their day was at the dinner table this week, make sure you ask them what they learned about road safety.
You might learn something too!
Drive to the conditions. Drive safe. Speak up for road safety.
