Be alert to fire warnings in the local area
There have been several grass fires in the Lowood region lately and this windy weather isn’t going to help.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services has extended a local fire ban for areas in South East Queensland, including Ipswich and Lockyer, until 11.59pm on Wednesday, August 22.
Be aware of fire risks, but stay calm.
Keep informed about fire safety, preparedness and emergency announcements and news.
For more information about preparing for fires, and to stay up to date on fire warnings, visit the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services website here.
If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.
You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
