ThinkUKnow what kids see, say and do online?

On Wednesday night May 30, Ipswich District Crime Prevention attended Mt Crosby State Primary school and delivered the ThinkUKnow presentation to parents from Mt Crosby and Karalee State School.

With an overwhelming response of praise for the program focusing on cybersafety and cyberbullying, parents were positive about making changes when it comes to the use of technology for their families.
The program outlines for parents and educators changes in technology, how children are interacting online, an overview of apps, social media sites, gaming and their functions.  Privacy and keeping your family’s information secure, terms and conditions for social media and what you are signing up to, respectful relationships and managing reputation, sexting, online grooming, and cyberbullying.
The program also focuses on building resilience, how and to whom to report issues, gathering evidence, supporting services and police contacts.
