Wear a Yellow Ribbon for National Road Safety Week

As apart of Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week, Queensland Police Service Ipswich District Crime Prevention and Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR), provided road safety information to customers that attended the DTMR office on Colvin Street North Ipswich, with resources focusing on the Fatal Five; seat belts, drink and drug driving, speeding, fatigue and distraction.
Yellow Ribbon National Road Safety Week is an initiative of Safer Australian Roads and Highways (or S.A.R.A.H.), a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve Australian road safety by raising awareness and asking everyone to “Drive So Others Survive” #DriveSOS
Landmarks will be bathed in yellow as a reminder and to promote road safety as part of Yellow Ribbon Week that finishes on May 6.

It was also an opportunity for DTMR to showcase a new resource for their speed campaign that is an app called Safe DriVR.
The resource is viewed by wearing Virtual Reality (VR) glasses
