On Tuesday, March 13 the Minister for Police and Minister for Corrective Services the Honorable Mark Ryan visited the Ipswich Police District to meet with local police officers and speak with the Ipswich community.
Minister Ryan visited four of the Volunteers in Police, along with the Officer in Charge of the District Crime Prevention Unit, Sergeant Nadine Webster.

Minister Ryan also attended many policing establishments in Ipswich including the the Ipswich Police Beat and Yamanto Police Station.
There was also an opportunity to visit the Ipswich Police Citizens Youth Centre (PCYC) where Minister Ryan was informed of the great work and projects that are supporting youths in Ipswich.
One particular initiative discussed was Braking the Cycle, a program that involves mentoring young drivers who are unable to attend driver training due to location or circumstance.
