Southern Region police, incorporating Ipswich and Darling Downs police districts have trained and welcome 10 new volunteers to join their Volunteer in Police (VIP) program for 2018.
After a thorough selection process, 10 members of the community from various and diverse backgrounds, were trained over a three day period, including an orientation day in their respective policing districts.
The role of VIP is long and varied with a focus on supporting and assisting police engaging with the community.
