Adopt-a-cop wrap up on 2017

With 2017 drawing to a fast close, two schools in the Ipswich District have wrapped up the year with my final Adopt-a-Cop duties attended.
Goodna State school recently saw their senior school celebrate and acknowledge the efforts of volunteers involved in the annual connect to culture program (C2C). Emerging indigenous artist and QPS AO Charmaine DAVIS assisted me in the presentation of the children’s collaborative art work.
The chosen natural canvas selected was a gathering of seed pods, painted and then final touches added by Charmaine. The art work assisted the students in realising that they can each contribute to their community in a positive way and bring happiness to others through the enjoyment of that art piece. The theme was ‘individuals working together’. A huge thanks always to co-founder and organiser Michelle Maybanks of GSS for four years of C2C!
