Ipswich Police want to acknowledge their volunteers in police (VIP) and the great work they perform each and everyday. Volunteers have a wealth of knowledge, providing their valuable time in supporting police in their policing divisions.
There are 20 VIP in the Ipswich District located at the Ipswich District Crime Prevention Unit.
VIP work in a wide range of activities including a number of crime prevention campaigns, programs, projects and strategies both reactive and proactive across the entire district.
They also provide police with additional policing services, crime prevention and customer service to the community and assist police in forming invaluable partnerships between the community and police.
Ipswich District will be expanding the VIP program again in 2018.
