Ipswich North Rotary proudly support and sponsor the Pride of Workmanship – Rotary, Police and Emergency Services Officer of the Year Awards.
These awards involve the public, whether it be through councils, community organisations or as individuals showing their support for the emergency services who keep our community, streets and homes safe. It is where we get behind our local police and emergency services personnel and let them know we care and appreciate what they do for us. The community, through Rotary, recognises the good work being done, day in and day out, by the men and women in emergency services. It is hoped that this will encourage the community to appreciate the duties and difficult situations faced by police officers and other emergency services.
The award recognises an outstanding officer who, in serving the community:
displays very high standards of professionalism; or
performs significant acts of courtesy, kindness, understanding or courage; or
