Ipswich police visited children from the Sunshine Children’s Ward at the Ipswich Hospital to help spread joy and sunshine into the lives of children and their families whilst they are recovering or needing treatment for their illness.
The children were in high spirits and excited to see the police who gave them stickers and sun visors, along with colouring in’s pictures of police in the service and explained to them, the many jobs police do in the community.
The children loved seeing the lights and hearing the sirens while officers spoke to them about keeping safe. The children even offered to assist when police were pretending to deal with nurse Kirsty.
It was a great day and the children loved the police and having the opportunity to have fun with them.
