Bundamba State School were inundated by visitors from Ipswich City Council, Department of Transport and Main Roads, Ipswich District Crime Prevention and Road Policing Unit Queensland Police Service supported by local councillor for Divison 4 Cr Kylie Stoneman.
The children had completed their walk to school as apart of Road Safety Week’s ‘sharing the road’ and the Healthy Active School Travel (HAST) program by Ipswich City Council, which promotes road safety and making healthy and safe choices.
The children were spoken to by police about road safety and provided with many resources reminding them to keep safe whilst walking/riding along to school.
Constable Olsen was mobbed by the excited crowd as they all wanted to ask question’s around his role as a Traffic Police officer and the the motor bike he rides.
Principal Brett Williams was extremely proud of his students for participating in the program and their involvement with this mornings presentation with police
